Wings Sign Defenseman Glenn Clark

The Philadelphia Wings signed five-time National Lacrosse League
Champion defenseman Glenn Clark to a one-year deal for the 2006 season. The 6’2”, 200 pound, free agent Clark
played eight seasons for the Toronto Rock, including five championship seasons
(2005, ’03, ’02, ’00, 1999).
“Glen provides great veteran leadership to our club and will help our
team out a great deal on defense and in our transition game,” said Wings General
Manager and Head Coach Lindsay Sanderson.
“We’re thrilled to be able to add a player of his caliber to our roster.
”
Clark has accumulated 62 points (31G, 31A) in eight seasons with the
Toronto Rock and was fourth on the Rock’s all-time loose ball list (444). Clark was drafted by the Rock in the
fourth round (27th overall) in the 1998 NLL Entry Draft.
As with all professional lacrosse
players, Clark holds a full-time job as the head of Physical and Health
Education at Bayview Secondary School in Richmond Hill, ON. He is expected to maintain his
Ontario residence during the season and commute to Philadelphia for weekly
practices and games. Clark resides
in Thornhill, ON and has two sons, Taggart, six, and Grady, four
Clark will join the team in November when the Wings begin training camp. The Wings open their 20th
Anniversary season in January.
