WINGS PLAYERS PLAY FOR FLYERS ALUMNI IN CHARITY GAME

Wings captain Thomas Hajek and forward Chad
Thompson, joined the Philadelphia Flyers Alumni for a charity hockey game last
Saturday in Summit, NJ when the team battled the Beacon Alumni.
Hajek, a 5’10” defenseman played hockey in
addition to lacrosse at the University of Vermont where he was a teammate of
former Philadelphia Flyer and current Chicago Blackhawk Patrick
Sharp.
Thompson, is a product of the Ontario Hockey League, where he
played for the Barrie Colts, London Knights, and Oshawa
Generals.
“This is a great opportunity
for me to get back out on the ice while helping out a worthy cause at the same
time,” said Hajek. “It’s an honor to
get to play with Flyers greats such as Joe Watson and Bob
Kelly.”
Hajek and Thompson were paired
together as a defensive duo. Each added one assist in the Flyers alumni lost
3-4.
