Wailes Trade
Wings Acquire Wailes From Calgary
Friday, December 15, 2006

The Philadelphia Wings have acquired forward Kyle Wailes from the Calgary Roughnecks for the Wings’ first pick in the 2007 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft.

Wailes was drafted by Calgary in the first round  (ninth overall) of the 2006 National Lacrosse League Draft.  The 6’1”, 195-pound, left-hander played four seasons for Brown University.  The Toronto, ON native was also a two-time scoring champion in the Ontario Lacrosse Association.

“Kyle is a gifted offensive left hander that I had the opportunity to watch play in the Canadian Junior Leagues,” said Wings General Manager and Head Coach Lindsay Sanderson.  “He is a very talented athlete and is a great acquisition for our offense this season.”
