Angels Spotlight - Cassie
Tuesday, May 6, 2008
Cassie is
currently a student at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA. She is a dance
major, and works as a dance instructor at the Pennsylvania Performing Arts
Center in Whitehall, PA. The students she teaches range from age six to 15 years
old; she teaches Hip-hop and Jazz.
Before
Cassie became an Angel, she danced for the New York Titans dance team, but she
has been attending school in Pennsylvania and found it more appealing to dance
for the Wings. This is the first year Cassie has danced as an Angel.
She has
also loved how much the Wings have grown over the recent years, “I loved how
established the Wings have become over the years and the amount of diehard fans
that come out for every game. Also the staff is great, and they make everyone
feel much appreciated. I look forward to every game that I have to come and
perform in.”
An
interview conducted by the Trentonian was her most memorable Angels
moment. The article was dedicated to her from her hometown paper. It was
exciting for her to be featured in the paper, and it made her family very proud
of her accomplishments. She has also loved becoming part of the Angels dance
team and developing such great friendships with the rest of the Angels.
Cassie
enjoys dancing to anything with a good beat, especially pop music. Her favorite
artists to dance to are The Pussycat Dolls and Britney Spears.
In the
future Cassie would like to make a name for her self in the entertainment field
through dance; possibly become a touring dancer with a celebrity performer. She
would also like to become a choreographer or coach a professional dance team.
Ultimately she would like to own her own business relating to dance.
Cassie’s
advice to aspiring dancers:
“Don’t
let anyone tell you what you can and can’t do, or here you can and can’t go. Be
an individual and go out there and accomplish your dreams for yourself. Work
hard at what you do and it will always pay off – give and you will always
get!”
