Wings Name Matt Sawyer Head Scout

The Philadelphia Wings General Manager Lindsay
Sanderson announced today that Matt Sawyer will be the team’s new Head
Scout. Sawyer’s main focus as Head Scout will be the central Ontario
region.
“We are pleased to have Matt on board for the 2009
season and moving forward,” said Sanderson. “He has a lot of experience
and knows what a player needs to be successful in the National Lacrosse
League.”
Sawyer was formerly the Offensive Coach of the
Toronto Rock, where he was part of the coaching staff that helped Toronto win
the 2005 Champions Cup. He also served as an Assistant Coach in Montreal
and Ottawa, and is currently the Head Coach of the Orangeville Jr. A Northmen of
the Ontario Lacrosse Association.
