Weekend Lacrosse Recap

Many of
your favorite Wings players were in action in other leagues this past
weekend.
In the MLL, Drew Westervelt, Matt
Bocklet, and the Denver Outlaws took on Geoff Snider, Merrick Thomson, and the
Toronto Nationals. Westervelt had three goals and an assist while Bocklet picked
up three ground balls. On the Toronto side, Snider was
21 for 39 on faceoffs, and Thomson had five goals and an assist. Despite
Thomson’s efforts, Denver came out on top, 20-16.
Staying
in the MLL, Benson Erwin and the Washington Bayhawks faced off against the
Chicago Machine. Erwin picked up a groundball to help
Washington
to a 16-14
victory.
Switching
to the MSL, Athan Iannucci and the
St. Regis
Indians took on the KW Kodiaks. Iannucci helped lead his team with two goals and
three assists as St. Regis won 12-7.
Mat Giles
had two assists for the Peterborough Lakers as they lost to the Six Nations
Chiefs, 10-7.
