TORONTO, ON – The Wings (1-4) jumped out to an early two goal advantage, but it was Toronto’s sustained offensive attack that proved to be too much for Philadelphia. The Rock (4-1) shot early and often on Wings goaltender Brandon Miller which resulted in 19 goals on 57 shots. Philadelphia will play its next game at home versus the Buffalo Bandits at the Wachovia Center on Saturday, February 13 at 8 p.m.

Despite a 10 shots disadvantage, Philadelphia was able to keep up with Toronto in the first, especially early. Dan Teat and Kyle Sweeney notched the first goals of the contest in the first minute of play, but the Rock offense led by Stephan Leblanc (3G 6A), Blaine Manning (3G 6A), Garrett Billings (3G 4A), and Colin Doyle (3G 4A) quickly found its groove. Toronto took a 6-4 lead into the second quarter and continued to pressure Philadelphia, outshooting the Wings 17-7 and extending their lead to six goals. The Rock entered the half up 11-5 with a 36 to 16 shot advantage.

In the second half Philadelphia was able to gain some ground in the shots category but not on the scoreboard. The Wings continued to work hard in the final two quarters, but Leblanc, Manning, Billings, and Doyle powered the Rock to eight second half goals to solidify the Toronto victory. Kyle Wailes (1G 4A) and Teat (2G 3A), led Philadelphia in scoring on the night.
