The Philadelphia Wings today signed
free agent David Mitchell, a 6’, 195 lb, forward who last played for the Wings
in 2009, according to Wings General Manager and Coach David Huntley. The team
also released veteran forward Jason Crosbie to make room for Mitchell on the
active roster.
Mitchell played each of his first two

14 games. The left handed forward was a 2007 graduate of Cornell University where he was a two time All-Ivy
and two time All-American selection. Mitchell was originally drafted by
Philadelphia in
the second round (25 overall) in the 2007 NLL Entry
Draft.
This was Crosbie’s second stint with
the Wings, having recorded 65 points (17G, 48A) in 23 games played with
Philadelphia
between the 2008 and 2010 seasons.
He spent the 2009 season with Wings division rival Toronto
Rock.
