Last week can only be described as a total melt down. Our entire organization was embarrassed by one of the poorest performances of the year after coming off two of our best. Toronto played very well but we made it very easy for them. This was a total team loss. Nothing clicked and we got clocked. Sadly from where I was sitting, the Wings never even challenged the Rock. We couldn’t catch, pass or pick up a loose ball when it mattered. It tells me we are not as good as we have played over the past two weeks and I know we are not as bad as we played Saturday night. I will not try to explain or dissect what happened because we all saw the same thing. This week against Rochester will tell us a lot about this team and coaches. The kind of performance we saw last week is unacceptable to everyone. We all deserve better and it is very important that we see a dramatic change in the effort and leadership. For all our sakes, I hope this was an anomaly and that our previous winning efforts were not. Thanks for your continued support and have a great week. |
